Thank you...

Class was very generous during this holiday season. You might have noticed I did gain 10 pounds. Many of you provided your favorite Christmas treats for Matt and I to enjoy and Boy did we!

The Christmas bonuses I received brought a big smile from me as helped the 2008 class budget.  I was able to keep the price increase for 2009 almost non existent. Gone, new category for Senior Dogs however; their special price will be $25.

What about the 2009 Budget?...

Well the big problem area is still the price of hay and grain. The Long Beach rent increased in 2008 . The first time since we have been out there.

Christmas 4 Dogs...(huge success!)

Well, the turnout approached the record this year for Christmas 4 Dogs. We had 39 dogs turn out for this event that lasted 6 hours and thanks to the hard work of Matt, Ed and myself everyone that wanted it received two runs with their dogs. Jody was kept pretty busy for awhile doing sign ups and explaining to people what to expect during their runs.

All five arenas where used and needless to say we had to move the running order around to give the sheep a rest.

Jerry even gave a few runs to a couple of children (who did not have a dog themselves) with Choice and Pic.

Curley Ortiz outdid his last effort with the BBQ. The meat I was able to sample between runs was delicious! Many brought items for the pot luck! Unfortunately both Curley and Lisa where called away before they could finish their second runs with their six Catahoulas.. Luck for us it was after all had eaten their fill.

Thank you Curley the BBQ was great!
